Pyjarmarama Event
On Friday 13th May we joined int with Book Trust's Pyjamarama Day. Children all around the country – in schools, nurseries, and at home – spent the day reading, enjoying, and sharing stories all in the comfort of their pyjamas, to raise vital funds to help every child get a bedtime story.
All of our pupils and staff came to school in pjs or colourful t-shirts and raised money for the Book Trust. We all started the day with an assembly about Pyjamarama day and the purpose of it. All classes had three different stories over the day based on the themes of feelings, snack/lunch and favourite class story. Pupil experienced sensory stories, story bags, story massage and sharing stories with friends in their classrooms. Pupils had chance to visit the school library whilst it was set up as an immersive bedtime story themed environment, in addition to completing some wonderful artwork to display.
