Farm Visit

During Spring Term 2 we had a very special visit to our school from a touring Mini Farm in preparation for Easter.

The animal's pens were set up outside on our main playground and we were visited by goats, pigs, sheep, rabbits, a miniature pony and a donkey! Pupils were able to look at and handle the animals if they wanted to.

In the week leading up to the visit, classes completed some work in lessons around farms/farm animals to prepare the pupils for the visit.

The visit helped us to build on knowledge of how to look after animals, where certain animals live and helped pupils to build confidence around animals. It was a great opportunity for all pupils to have the opportunity to meet animals that live on a farm in a safe and familiar environment.  We had great feedback from pupils and staff and cannot wait for them to visit us again!
